Our story
Sol y Sazón started from owner Melissa's love of feeding people and entertaining. Originally from Puerto Rico, Melissa studied at Florida Culinary Institute and went on to work for resorts and high-profile events, later running a bread shop in New Orleans before settling down in Queen Creek, Arizona — bringing her right back to the passion she started with. Once settled, she teamed up with her partner Jeff to turn that passion into Sol y Sazón.
Today we share those same vibrant flavors — specialty lattes, Tripleta sandwiches and bowls, fried pork and plantain cups, and homemade cookies — with our whole community.
Everything is homemade and freshly made with the seasoning, color, and warmth that makes tropical flavor feel like home.
